Sometime between 07/30/2023 at approximately 2130 hours and 07/31/2023 at approximately 0800 hours, the victim's vehicle was broken into. The victim left the vehicle unlocked and had a black luggage with approximately $3000.00 worth of clothing taken. There is no suspect(s) information at this time.

Sometime between 07/28/2023 approximately 1530 hours to 07/31/2023 0400 hours, an unknown suspect(s) stole approximately $20,000 in copper wire. The Unknown suspect(s) cut the copper wires with an unknown tool and stole the wires. The victim's property is not gated. I recommend that this case be suspended pending further leads or suspect information.

Burglary, Tamper with Vehicle
Sometime between 7/27/2023 and 7/28/2023, an unknown suspect(s) entered the parking lot located at 2850 Bayshore Boulevard via an unknown route. The suspect(s) used a sharp object and attempted to enter via the right front window of the victim’s vehicle, with negative results. The suspect(s) then used a spark plug and managed to shatter the right rear window of the victim’s vehicle. The suspect(s) accessed the hood area of the victim’s vehicle and cut the wiring that attaches to the battery to disarm the alarm. There is no suspect information at this time.

Confidential Person (CP) located a bag in her boyfriend's vehicle. The bag contained booking information from patrons of the Double Tree hotel. The bag also contained possible credit card information of patrons from the hotel. The boyfriend was suspected of being the owner of the bag. The boyfriend was later interviewed, but denied being in possession of the Double Tree documents.

Vandalism, Reckless Driving
BPD Code Enforcement witnessed a vehicle doing doughnuts in the intersection causing damage to the roadway. During the investigation, officers were able to get a license plate from video surveillance and were able to get a hold of the owner. The owner of the vehicle's son was contacted and will be charged with Reckless Driving and Vandalism.
