A subject called dispatch stating he was in his pickup truck and was going to commit suicide via a .22 caliber weapon after officer(s) arrive. Multiple agencies responded to the command post and road closures initiated. The subject was eventually found deceased, from a self-inflicted gunshot to the chest, approximately 150-200 yards north/east of Guadalupe Canyon Parkway in the field. The subject's wife found two letters of suicidal intent at their residence. The body was eventually released to the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office. Case taken for information.

On 08/31/2023 sometime between the hours of 0530 to 0600, the front glass door of a business was shattered. The total Damage of the glass door was an estimate of $600. There was no indication that the Business was burglarized as there were no signs that entry was made inside and nothing was taken or riffled through. There was also no indication that the window was intentionally damaged. I recommend this report to be informational purposes only.

Officers responded for the report of a possible vehicle collision. During an investigation, officers determined there was no merit to a vehicle collision.

Officers contacted a subject who was later searched and found to be in possession of a glass pipe. Officers collected the glass pipe and booked it for destruction.

An unknown reckless driver confronted 2 males with an unknown object. The reckless driver fled the scene and the males declined prosecution.

Officers responded to a hit and run collision that cause property damage approximately 3 hours prior calling BPD for the report. The suspect vehicle fled the scene after the collision.

On 8/21/2023 at approximately 1750 hours, a reported stolen vehicle recklessly evaded while officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop after an Automated License Plate Reader notification alerted us that a stolen vehicle had entered the city. The unknown driver was able to avoid capture, and her identity is unknown at this time.

A subject came to the BPD to report he had been involved in a 3 vehicle non injury collision that had occurred on 6/30/2023. He had all the information on the other driver's and vehicles.

Between 08/20/2023 at 2200 hours and 08/21/2023 at 0630 hours, an unknown subject broke the rear window of the victim's vehicle. The subject then stole two soft fabric duffle bags costing approximately $50 USD each. This case is suspended pending further investigative leads.

Vehicle was towed for being a hazard in the roadway.

On 08/19/2023 at an unknown time, the City of Brisbane was the victim of vandalism to the men’s public restroom at the Community Park. The privacy divider between the urinal and sink in the men’s restroom was damaged and left on the ground resulting in approximately $100.10 in damages. There are no cameras in the area that would have captured the incident. This case will be suspended pending further investigative leads to identify the unknown suspect(s).

Officers located and recovered a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was returned to the owner and removed from SVS.

A male subject assaulted and battered a female employee while inside the business. The male subject was under the influence of alcohol and was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to the county jail.

Officers contacted a subject who was subsequently arrested for illegal paraphernalia.

On 07/29/2023 at approximately 0014 hours two unknown suspects cut a chain link fence on the Baylands development property. The two unknown suspects stole air monitoring equipment and solar panels which were valued at approximately $100,000. The suspects fled the scene by unknown means and their whereabouts are unknown at this time. There is limited suspect information at this time and there is surveillance footage of this incident.

Officers contacted a subject who was subsequently arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle which failed to yield and led officers on a short pursuit. The driver finally came to a stop on Industrial Way and he was placed under arrest.

Between 8/14/23 at 2130 hours and 8/15/23 at 0640 hours, a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot was burglarized. The suspect(s) cut the lock that was securing a generator that was locked with a chain. The suspect(s) took the generator, a saw, and a couple of drills from the bed of the vehicle without the owner’s consent. There is no suspect information at this time.

Officers contacted a subject who was driving a vehicle with a suspended license. The subject was arrested and issued a citation.

Sometime between 08/11/2023 approximately 1900 hours to 08/14/2023 0530 hours, an unknown suspect(s) stole approximately $10,100 in watercraft equipment from the victim's boat. The boat was located at the Brisbane Marina's Dock 6 slip 49. The boat was not broken into, and all items were stolen from the top of the boat. The unknown suspect(s) took a Intex two-man inflatable canoe and a full Bemini cover. I recommend that this case be suspended pending further leads or suspect information.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The vehicle contained 2 individuals. A records check revealed the occupants had a restraining and no contact order against them. The subject was arrested and booked into jail .

Officers responded to the area and contacted a female who had fallen onto the roadway and received injuries to her head following a mutual verbal argument with her boyfriend. No injuries were reported from the argument.

Officers responded for the report of a physical altercation involving multiple subjects after a traffic collision. Multiple subjects fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. One subject was transported to a medical facility for minor injuries.

Officers responded to the above address for a report of elder abuse. Officers ultimately arrested the 52 year old son for physical abusing his 74 year old mother. an EPO was granted and served against the son. The son was transported and booked into the county jail.

A wallet was found at the Brisbane Marina. The wallet was later booked into the BPD evidence for safekeeping.

Officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Tunnel Ave at Lagoon Rd. The vehicle failed to yield and let officers on a pursuit into San Francisco. Officers terminated the pursuit when the vehicle got onto the freeway due to public safety concerns.

At approximately 0323 hours, two unknown suspect(s) burglarized the victim's vehicle. The suspect(s) used an unknown object to manipulate a key lock to gain entry into the toolbox located in the trunk. The suspects stole multiple hand tools and power tools from the toolbox. The stolen tools were valued at approximately $2,810. The suspects also appeared to be wearing all black clothing and were driving a dark colored SUV. At this time there is limited suspect information and it appears these suspects are related to a string of auto burglaries that occurred late night from 08/07/23 to early morning 08/08/23.

Officers responded for the report of a vehicle that collided into a light pole. No injuries were reported.

Officers contacted a subject who was subsequently arrested for a warrant.

A resident found some miscellaneous items of property and turned it in to the BPD. The property was collected and booked into evidence for safekeeping.

Resident called the BPD to seek advice in regards to self defense items that would be legal to carry.

On 08/08/2023 between the hours of 0202 and 0209 hours, unknown subject(s) took items worth approximately $600 from the victim's vehicle without his consent. The vehicle was not damaged and was unlocked. This case is suspended pending further suspect information.

Sometime between 08/07/2023 through 08/08/2023 the hours of 11 PM and 8 AM, the victim had his vehicle broken into by an unknown subject(s). The unknown subject(s) had broken the rear left passenger window to get into the vehicle and stole a Ridged corded planer that was worth approximately $500. This case is suspended pending further suspect information.

On 8/8/23, between 0200 hours and 0715 hours, unknown suspect(s) burglarized the victim’s locked vehicle. The suspect(s) used an unknown object to break the rear driver-side window to gain entry into the vehicle. Once inside, the suspect(s) took a Milwaukee brand tool kit valued at approximately $400.

On 8/8/23, at approximately 0246 hours, unknown suspect(s) burglarized the victim’s locked vehicle. The suspect(s) used an unknown object to break the front passenger side window to gain entry into the vehicle. Once inside, the suspect(s) took a Milwaukee brand weed wacker valued at approximately $400.

On 8/8/23, at approximately 0234 hours, unknown suspect(s) committed a theft from the victim’s unlocked vehicle. The suspect(s) opened the rear driver-side door to gain entry into the vehicle. Once inside, the suspect(s) took two Milwaukee saws and a DeWalt grinder.

On 8/8/23, during unknown hours, unknown suspect(s) entered into two unlocked vehicles. The suspect(s) appeared to have rummaged through the vehicle, but it is unknown if anything was taken at this time. A note was left for the owners, but they have not contacted the police as of this writing. This investigation is most likely related to several other vehicle burglaries that occurred earlier in the morning.

On 8/8/23, between 0200 hours and 0545 hours, unknown suspect(s) burglarized the victim’s unlocked vehicle. The suspect(s) opened the front passenger door to gain entry into the vehicle. Once inside, the suspect(s) took a bag containing multiple tools.

On 8/8/23, sometime between 1900-0614 hours, unknown suspect(s) broke into the victim’s locked vehicle. The suspect(s) used an unknown tool to break the front driver’s side window to gain access to the vehicle. Once unlocked the suspect(s) rifled through the vehicle and took the victim’s new leaf blower valued at approximately $400.

On 8/8/23, at approximately 0315 hours, unknown suspect(s) burglarized the victim’s locked vehicle. The suspect(s) used an unknown object to break the front driver side window to gain entry into the vehicle. Once inside, the suspect(s) took multiple hand tools and power tools. Some of the tools belonged to the victim and some of the tools belonged to the victim’s company. The victim has yet to provide a list of the stolen tools.

Officers responded to the report of a physical altercation involving co-workers. The victim declined to press charges against the suspect.
